Whilst this remote may look similar to other black sliding cover remotes in the industry, this is not a ‘universal’ garage door remote.

Boss BHT1 Programming Instructions
Duplicating your original remote
1. Press and hold the top two buttons at the same time. These may be lock and unlock, numbers 1 and 2, or up and down arrows. The LED will flash, then turn off.
2. While still holding the first button (lock, up, or 1), quickly release the second button (unlock, down, or 2), then press it three times. The LED will flash again.
3. Release all buttons.
4. Quickly press and release any button on the new remote. If the LED does not turn on, the remote is ready to copy.
5. Place the original and new remotes close together. Try different positions such as head to head, back to back, or side by side, depending on the model.
6. Press and hold the button on the new remote you want to use for your door. The LED will flash quickly, then turn off. Keep holding this button.
7. Press and hold the button on the original remote that operates the door. When the LED on the new remote begins flashing constantly, the code has been copied successfully.
8. Release all buttons and test the new remote to ensure it operates your door.
Resetting the remote to factory settings
1. Press and hold the bottom two buttons on the new remote for five seconds.
2. Release the buttons after five seconds.
3. The remote has now been reset to its original factory settings.
