Boss BOL4 Garage Opener Features
This powerful AC automatic sectional garage door opener is suitable for most sectional garage doors. With its automatic safety function your garage door will stop and reverse automatically if obstructed. This opener comes with a standard pole-and-chain drive system.
Please note that the BOL4 motor has seen a lot of rebranding over the years, including 4D Doors, Steel Line, eGarage Systems and more. This has lead to some brand confusion over the years as well as ongoing warranty problems. The motor you will receive will either be Boss or Steel Line branded. - Your motor installed by a B&D or ATA technician;
- Serviced 12 months after installation;
- Serviced every 24 months thereafter
- Receipts for the initial installation, as well as the 12 and 24 month services
In the event of motor failure, you would need to engage the installer (at your cost) to diagnose the unit with a specialized PG3 programmer to download the system information to be sent to us.
Once verified as a warrantable claim by the installer, we fill out warranty claim paperwork to send to ATA/B&D. If they accept the claim (timeframe unknown) they will send a new unit to us, to send to you. The manufacturer does not want to send a replacement unit direct to the customer (you).
If you are looking to perform an DIY installation, we highly recommend the Auto Openers range of sectional door openers. Auto Openers support DIY Australian handymen and are one of the last Australian owned garage door automation brands on the market.
