Works With Any Australian Roller Door
B&D recommend pairing the CAD PD with their own roller doors, but it will drive any Australian brand. Taurean, Gliderol, Steel-Line, Creeks and others all work, so you do not need a B&D door to run a B&D opener.
It suits single and double roller doors up to 16.5m² with 45mm of side room, which covers the large majority of Australian residential roller doors.
Tri-Tran+ is the reason to choose it over a cheaper opener. Rather than transmitting on one frequency, the TB7 remotes switch across three, so baby monitors, doorbells, in-car systems and other household wireless devices cannot block the signal. If you have ever had a remote that works some days and not others, that is what Tri-Tran+ solves.
Optional Extras
Battery backup is available for the CAD PD, keeping the door working through a power cut. Smartphone control is also available as an add-on.
Additional TB7 remotes can be paired at any time, up to the opener’s memory capacity.

B&D Controll-A-Door PowerDrive Features
The Controll-A-Door series has been a staple of automation in Australian homes since the late 1980s. With a history dating back to 1946, B&D roller door openers have been part of Australia’s iconic history of the garage roller door and innovators within garage door automation.
The Controll-A-Door PowerDrive is now on its fourth iteration of B&D’s most popular garage door opener, with enough power to effortlessly operate the majority of residential roller doors. It uses the Diamond opener technology with extra power on top, so lifting heavier doors is effort free, and it offers a range of programmable operation modes so you can adjust the behaviour to suit how you use the door.
Soft start and soft stop reduce stress on the door and cut noise, which matters on a roller door where the whole curtain moves. Automatic force sensing monitors and adjusts the force needed with every operation, and a manual release lets you open the door by hand during a power outage. Reduced standby energy consumption keeps running costs down between operations.
The included TB7 remotes use B&D’s Tri-Tran+ multi frequency technology, transmitting across three frequencies so household wireless devices cannot interfere with the signal. B&D rate the transmitters at up to 18% better range than the previous generation, so the door starts opening sooner as you pull into the drive.
